1 Training Documentation – Replacing GSPR with RFQ 2.0

2 RFQ 2.0: What is Changing RFQ has been enhanced to allow for a more stream lined self service experience. The new version of RFQ will have all of the same features that it has had in the past, but with increased flexibility and more functionality. The new look of RFQ will allow consistency for those submit QTE types, and other special price requests. New requests will now be assigned a quote reference number for tracking purposes and once completed a Price Agreement Number will be provided.

3 Getting Started: RFQ 2.0 RFQ 2.0 is available at under My Account.

4 RFQ2.0 Entry Screen Enter your account number This is the new
screen for both Quote Inquiry and to Request A Quote

5 Quote Inquiry The screen allows you to search on various requirements:
Specifics Request type Status A specific date You still have the availability to export your requests to excel

6 Quote Inquiry Many of the screens will have a box with a ? These are
pop-up boxes to help explain information you will see when you click on these areas.

7 Quote Inquiry There is also a Advanced Search. Here you can enter
the dates you are searching for or the POS customer. Again ? will provide information and help

8 Request A Quote To Request a Quote, click on
The “Request A Quote” tab. Here you will be able to request either a standard quotation or a special price request. Each type of request will provide a ? with a definition of that request. Press Continue …

9 Ex: Request a Meet Competitive Price Request
If you are entering a Meet Competitive price request, select the MCP. The ? Help will tell you what type of price this is requesting. Press the Continue button to proceed to the data entry screen.

10 RFQ 2.0 Quote Entry: Wizard
A progress Wizard has been added to RFQ This will allow users to see the progress of their quote entry. The Steps of the Wizard are shown below: Each area is designed to allow users to input specific information as needed. As users progress further into their quote, progress will be mapped on the wizard.

11 Request Tab The first tab will auto-fill your name, phone and fax
information. If the ship-to address is not correct, select the “Change Ship-to Address”. A screen appears showing the possible Ship-to Addresses available. You can change the manner in which you are contacted under the “Contact By:” If your phone number has changed, you may update this information in your profile. Press Continue…

12 Customer Information Tab
The system now takes you to the second tab where you will enter your POS and End Customer information BOTH FIELDS MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE YOU CONTINUE!

13 Customer Information Tab
Here you enter your POS Customer. If you do not have the address, click on the Search button to show all available addresses for that account.

14 Customer Information Tab - Account Information
Select the correct location for the account. Press “Select” This information will now be transferred to the POS Customer information.

The location you selected will now be shown under your POS Customer information.

16 Customer Information Tab – Add a POS Customer

17 Customer Information Tab
The END Customer box is similar to the POS Customer information. Add your End Customer and click search if you need location

18 Customer Information Tab – Account Information
Available information for the customer will appear. Select the correct information and hit Select. The data will then appear in the Customer information field.

19 Customer Information Tab
Now you have both the POS and End Customer information completed. If your POS and END Customer are the same, you can use the Check Box. This will put the same POS information into the End Customer information area. WARNING: Only copy the POS data to the END Customer field if this is really the case. Incorrect data will have a negative impact on your request.

20 Quote Information Tab The next tab is the Quote Information tab.
Currency will default to EUR for EMEA. Click on the ? For information or explanations.

21 Quote Information Tab Information on this screen is not mandatory but
will help you track your information by either a reference number, a project name or project description. Comments can be added that you wish to have on your quotation. As well as additional recipients of the final quotation. Click Continue….

22 Add Parts Tab On this screen you will be able to add the parts
you wish to have quoted. Parts can be added in bulk, spreadsheet or on a part by part basis. A new feature is the “Paste In a Part Number List”. Here You can add up to 50 parts Parts can be validated to ensure they are accurate and active TE part numbers

23 Add Parts Tab You can also add one part number at a time.
Areas in RED must be completed or you can not continue.

24 Add Parts Tab The system will identify for you if you have
entered data with errors. A RED ! will appear in the block with the error and the system will not let you continue until the error is fixed. In this example no competitive data was entered.

25 Add Parts Tab Once you have corrected your errors you can
validate the part. All ! will be removed and you can now continue. OR If you wish to add more parts click the “Add More Parts” button and continue the same process.

26 Add Parts Tab The system will also alert you if you have a active
quote under this account in the system already. After reviewing all the data on this tab, the next tab asks if you have any Attachments. If you have no attachments, you may use the “Skip Attachments” button to take you to the Review Tab

27 Attachments Tab This is the Attachments Tab If you had any
attachments you would like to add to your request, you may add them at this time. Various file formats are available for uploading. If no attachments Are required, press Continue.

28 Review and Submit Tab On this tab you have the opportunity to review data you have entered, edit data or submit your request.

29 Review and Submit Tab The data is displayed based on the information
entered under each tab Type of Request Your personal Information Your Quote information And any description or comments you requested This is for the Sunfish project

30 If there are corrections
Review and Submit Tab You can review your Customer POS and End Customer information as well as the part requested If there are corrections to be made you may edit any section using the Edit Button Once you have reviewed all data click Submit Request

31 Confirmation You will receive a notification that provides you a quote number. Click OK The quote number can now be tracked on the Quote Inquiry screen. WARNING! The quote number provided is a reference number that can be used for quote tracking purposes. Once your request has been completed a Price Agreement Number will be provided.

32 Home Page RFQ2.0 – Quote Inquiry
After you click OK, the system returns you to the Request for Quote 2.0 Home Page

33 Quote Inquiry On the Home Page under Quote Inquiry, you can enter the
Quote number and see that the Quote is now “In-Process”. You can also see the Part/s in process By clicking on the + sign…

34 Quote Inquiry By Clicking on the +/- you can expand or collapse the part detail information. +/-

35 You also have the ability once a request is completed, to
Quote Inquiry You also have the ability once a request is completed, to View a PDF View a Quote OR Copy the request

36 Quote - View You can view the quote information once it is ‘complete’.
This provides all the information you originally submitted plus the part number detail. Again, at the top of the page you may: Copy the information to a new request Export to a Excel File View the PDF Or the PDF

37 Quote - View The part number request can be found at the bottom of the page. By Clicking on the +/- you can expand or collapse the part detail information. Use the Expand/Collapse bullets under the Item details to show more in depth Information - Additional Pricing details - Price Breaks - Part details - Sales and Packaging Quantities - Competitor Information - Comments

38 Quote - View To Display Specific Information on an Item use the Expand/Collapse Bullets to show all available information. The customer contact price agreement that was supplied to you by TE and entered during request creation to receive special pricing for this product. This will be your reference number when ordering this product!

39 RFQ 2.0 Completed Quotes PDF Quotes will be sent via to the requestor, and all additional recipients, at the time of quote completion. Additional copies of the PDF will continue to be available to you on RFQ Inquiry. All Information visible on the PDF Output will now display in the application with in Quote Details.

40 RFQ 2.0 Summary RFQ 2.0 is a one stop shop for users to submit standard Quotes to TE Customer Care as well as special pricing requests. The new progress wizard allows for an easier, more streamed line quote request process. Enhancements on RFQ Inquiry allows more information to be easily displayed for users. Additional search criteria will provide a fast, more thorough search when looking for existing quotes.

41 RFQ 2.0 Access Appropriate security levels will be required for the RFQ 2.0 application Users with access to the “Request Special Price” functionality will be granted access to the “RFQ 2.0” functionality automatically. “RFQ 2.0” will be added as a resource which the Administrators can assign to new users
