What is a Community of Learning / Kāhui Ako ?
Group of schools (primary and secondary) who collaborate together to improve the outcomes for the lives of all young people in their schools.

For the betterment of the children, the staff, the schools and the communities within the established collaborative partnerships.

It’s Now in New Zealand There are now 148 Communities of Learning spread throughout the country. 26 have their plans endorsed. Over 50% of all eligible schools (1,264 out of 2,416) will be part of a Community of Learning. This currently involves more than 410,000 students. (MOE Website September 2016)
