3 Creation Ex Nihilo God created the universe out of nothing
The intentionality of creation, shows the universe has meaning and purpose Colossians 1:16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. John 1:3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. This is implied right off the bat in Gen. 1:1 Fall Doctrine

4 Adam and Eve The creation of man was special and personal
Genesis 2:7, 22 Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life…The Lord God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man… “As God’s image, man is the pinnacle of all creation, more like God than any other creature, and the only one appointed to rule over the rest of creation as God’s representative” Derek Kidner – pre-Adamite evolution Fall Doctrine

5 The Trinity and Creation
God the Father – the primary agent in initiating the act of creation God the Son – the one ‘through’ whom creation came about God the Holy Spirit – completing, filling and giving life to creation 1 Corinthians 8:6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him. Derek Kidner – pre-Adamite evolution Psalm 104:30 You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; And You renew the face of the ground. Fall Doctrine

6 Transcendent yet Immanent
God is Transcendent – God is far above creation; greater than it and independent of it God is Immanent – He is very much involved in His creation Ephesians 4:6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. Derek Kidner – pre-Adamite evolution Fall Doctrine
