What factors can speed up a chemical reaction?

2. Lab
You will be designing a lab to explore how either temperature or surface area effect the rate of a reaction.
Your lab group will be given: 3 alka seltzer tablets, 1 beaker, access to hot/cold water OR a mortar and grinder.
You will need to complete a lab write-up that includes: Question, hypothesis, IV and DV, procedures, data and results/discussion.

3. Poster Presentations
You will create a poster using Claim – Evidence – Reasoning format.
You should include your research question as well as hypothesis, data table and graph. Add illustrations as well.
Remember:
Claim = the answer to your research question
Evidence = specific data that supports your claim
Reasoning = scientific reason why your claim is true
