3. Task 1- Alka Seltzer
Materials: 2 beakers, one alka-seltzer tablet, water Fill each beaker half full with water. Make sure you have the same amount in each. Break the tablet in half. Keep one half and break the other half into many pieces. At the same time, place the half tablet in one beaker and the pieces in the other beaker.

4. What you will write
Observations: (record your observations both before and after your drop the alka-seltzer in the water) Question: Write a question based on one of your observations Hypothesis: Use that same observation to create your hypothesis

5. Task 2- Skittles Challenge
Materials- 8 Skittles, your taste buds
For half the skittles, close your eyes and take a bite. Make sure you leave enough of the skittle to determine what flavor it is. For the other 4 skittles, close your eyes, plug your nose, and repeat the tasting. Record your results.

6. What you write
Observations- Record how many skittles your were able to correctly identify for both parts of the experiment
Question- Create a question based on your observations
Hypothesis- Create a hypothesis that includes your observation and your explanation.

7. Task 3-Picture
Make as many observations as you can in the next 4 minutes. The group that gets the most observations wins!
