Driving Question How does Electrolysis work?(list steps) What is it used for? What are the inputs and outputs?
3
What is electrolysis? Electrolysis of water is the decomposition of water (H2O) into oxygen (O2) and hydrogen gas (H2) due to an electric current being passed through the water.
4
How does Electrolysis work?
Electrolysis works works by passing an electric current through water. By Doing this it splits the water into its base components, Hydrogen and Oxygen.
5
Understanding
6
What is electrolysis used for?
There are several uses for Electrolysis, The one the class was looking at was fuel cells.
7
What are the inputs and outputs of electrolysis?
The Major Out puts of water electrolysis are Hydrogen and oxygen.
