An app is a self contained programme or piece of software designed to fulfil a particular purpose, an application, especially as downloaded by a user to a mobile device

60,000 new apps are added to the Apple store every month
4.3 billion people worldwide have Apps on their phone
The average person opens 10 Apps a day

Setting up Class groups for communications and sharing teaching presentations and teaching resources
Setting class discussion activities to take place between students outside class – teacher can join the group to monitor the activity, they may not always take part in the discussions
Setting oral activities for students to complete which the teacher can listened back to, allowing them to check the student’s language skills
Submission of formative assessments

Set up class groups
Keep in touch with students outside class, catch up with absent students
Answer student queries
Arranging tutorials with individual students
Send out important information such as timetable changes
Set up a group with HND alumni and current students to provide additional sharing of information and support
