Harmful bacteria can contaminate food to cause food poisoning
Spread through sexual contact
Droplets in the air
Sent through a cough or sneeze
Deposited on objects or surfaces
Picking up athletes foot from the floor of a gym
Spread by vectors
When another organism carries the pathogen from one to another

5. Preventing the spread Eat healthy and get enough sleep Vaccines
Wash your hands
Avoid touching your eyes, mouth, or nose
Avoid close contact with people who are sick
Cover your coughs and sneezes
Disinfect frequently touched surfaces
Stay home when you are sick
