1 Going All Out for Kids in Posey County

2 The Young Life Mission Introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith. The Young Life mission is introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.

3 We are OUT THERE in the world of kids.
Young Life is not a facility-based ministry — we don’t ask kids to come to us, rather we practice incarnational ministry as Jesus did. We go to kids on their turff to build authentic relationships with them.

4 Contact Work Building bridges of authentic relationships
Young Life Leaders: Wyldlife Leaders: Rachel and Zach Smith Kevin and Annette Slygh Evan Slygh John Holbrook Summer Oeth Jeff and Kelli Freeman Jamie Cornaire Jennifer Green Mary Raben Gabby Kempf Jonathan Powell Jason Woods Chris Knopf Dan Green Chad Howard Sarah O’Danial Holly Anspaugh Capernaum Leaders: Lisa Sellers Keith Oeth authentic relationships In Young Life, we give kids the first word. We don’t start with a program, rather we go into their lives with open ears and listen. We call this deliberate step into the world of kids “contact work.” It’s a time for learning names and hearing stories (some of which will break your heart), building bridges of authentic friendship. In Young Life, we call this "earning the right to be heard" as kids really don’t care what you know until they know you care for them. Kids are dramatically impacted when caring adults come alongside them, caring about their joys, triumphs, heartaches and setbacks, and sharing God’s love with them. Because their leader believes in them, they begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning and purpose. “Earning the right to be heard.”

5 We invite kids to experience the BEST!
INVITING in all that we do. We invite kids to experience the BEST! In Young Life, we strive for excellence and exceed expectations. We treat kids like honored guests whether it's at club, at camp or Campaigners. It may be club — the best night of a kid’s week; or camp — the best week of their life; or just the invitation to spend time with a leader who has become their friend. But before the party ends, we share a simple message about God’s love for them. After all, that’s what the celebration is all about.

6 The best night of the week.
Club The best night of the week. What is it about Young Life club that makes it the best night of the week for thousands of kids every week? We like to think of it as a “party with a purpose.” It’s controlled chaos that’s almost impossible to describe, but kids know it when they see it.

7 The best week of their life.
Camp The best week of their life. Kids consistently tell us that Young Life camp is the best week of their life. That’s a rousing (and unsolicited) endorsement! But how else would you describe a week where deep relationships are forged in the midst of mind-boggling fun and where you experience and listen to what we believe is the greatest love story ever told?

8 We witness CHANGED LIVES as kids meet Christ.
We believe that every adolescent deserves a chance to consider the Christian faith in terms they understand from people they trust. We encourage those who want to grow in their faith to not only explore it in study but we also encourage them to deepen it in service, share it in leadership and celebrate it in a church of their choosing.

9 The best life has to offer.
Campaigners The best life has to offer. In Young Life, we offer opportunities for spiritual growth. For those who want to learn more or to grow in their faith, we gather weekly at Bible studies, called “Campaigners,” to encourage their personal and spiritual growth. We invite kids to actively follow Jesus Christ — and we’re with them for the long haul to help them take those steps of faith with unconditional love.
