in a Favela?
Task:
Imagine you have just moved to Rio de Janeiro in the South East of Brazil. Write a short diary ( words) about your first impressions on the life in Rocinha (one of Rio’s favelas). You need to include a sketch drawing of typical house in the favela with labels describing its features

5. Consider the following:
The people (their jobs, community spirit, your new friends)
The houses and amenities (where you live, what your house looks like, do you have access to modern facilities)
The quality of the environment (cleanliness, noise pollution, graffiti etc…)
Job opportunities (what is your job now, what do you aspire to do in the future)
Why you might want to move to Barra (the new improved suburb in Rio)
