Why Global Learning Experience (GLE)? University Faculty University Strategic Imperative Leverage Existing Relationships Expand  Our Reach Why GLE? (Ashanti) Strategic Imperative: UNIVERSITY Every 6 years, the university develops a strategic plan. One of the goals is to build intercultural and global understanding.   GLE was developed to provide those opportunities for faculty and students. Build a faculty development initiative focused on globalization Enlarge our network of strategic partner institutions Expand opportunities for all students Leverage existing strengths: FACULTY Leverage contacts and relationships that faculty have abroad Offer international faculty development opportunity Expand our Reach: STUDENT Each year, roughly 4% of DePaul students take advantage of Study Abroad opportunities; provide access to the other 96% unable to  travel abroad (cost, working students) GLE exposes a larger population of students to a global perspective
