2 Harriet’s Childhood She was born in the year of 1821(Did not show exact date). Born in Dorchester county, Maryland. Born into slavery. She was originally named Araminta Ross. She later changed her name to Harriet Tubman.

3 Underground Railroad Fredrick Douglas and John Brown helped her.
She freed over 400 slaves. She took 19 trips north and south to free slaves. Slave holders offered $40,000 to find slaves.

4 Jobs for Harriet During spare time Harriet worked.
She worked as a cook. Her job was up north.

5 Harriet's death She died after the Civil War. She died March 10, 1913
She died in Auburn

6 Remembrance They built a monument to honor her.
They built a home for the needy also.
