ADS – Zero Backlash Servo Insert Couplings
Rimtec’s new ADS-Servo Insert Couplings deliver exceptionally high torsional stiffness, yet still allow vibration dampening. This will help CNC controls optimize the Servo loop to its maximum gain, therefore, minimizing or eliminating resonance. This is very important for CNC machines and digital drives, as it results in short cycle times. The exceptional performance of this coupling is due to the very tight tolerances specified when machining the jaw teeth, which results in a true zero backlash fit with the insert. The ADS – couplings come in many sizes, covering torque requirements between Nm, ( lb-in) with bore sizes ranging from 6-60 mm, (1/4”-2.5”). High speed balancing for spindle applications (i.e..20,000 RPM per ISO 1940G6.3) is also available on all coupling sizes. Servo Insert Couplings with Collet Clamp

ADS Dimensions (mm) All hubs made of AlCuMgPb
Operating temperature range for to Centigrade. Keyways according to standard DIN 6885 or American on request. Clearance of keyway, standard JS 9. Insert material made of Polyurethane sh 64 D (green color). Transmission of the coupling’s rated torque is only guaranteed for bore sizes with the recommended range standard H7 bore tolerances unless otherwise specified. Other special bores can, however, be supplied by the manufacturer. All hub bores are supplied to fit standard H7 tolerance. All couplings on request balanced up to 20,000 rpm for spindles according to ISO 1940G6.3. ADS 60, 150, 300 and 500 available in shorter versions with clamping slit bores. Bigger bore possible with changed screw position.

ADS Technical Ratings The dimensioning of the couplings is always based on the peak torque (Mmax) which is to be transmitted regularly by the drive motors. For basis of the calculation of the coupling’s rated torque, see ordering data. The couplings, under no circumstances, should be submitted to a torque greater than 2.5 times the rated torque.
