2. Vision and goals
Provide a variety of activities to respond to the needs and interests for the community both today and in the future.
Provide specific programs and opportunities to meet the needs and desires of the diverse older adult/senior population, including building on and enhancing the current activities and culture of the Bend Senior Center.
Be very intentional with programming and scheduling to ensure that the comfort and enjoyment of older adult user is compatible and complementary with multigenerational use.
Develop programming and facility amenities that complement instead of duplicates Juniper Swim & Fitness Center and The Pavilion.
Continue to nurture collaborative relationships and strengthen existing and future partnerships to best serve our aging population.

4. PUBLIC COMMENT SUMMARY – 1/31/17
Maintain the opportunity for separation and a desire among seniors for:
Quiet, Security, Company of Similar age groups
Maintain the current level of activities and sense of community that exists among those using the Bend Senior Center.
Be careful that programming and scheduling ensure the continued comfort and enjoyment of older adults without sacrificing current programs to multigenerational uses.
Concern for older adults having to traverse highly active areas to reach classes
Expansion of center will generate additional traffic on Reed Market Rd.
Ensure that parking is adequate to accommodate existing and future use.
Provide more ADA and “Limited Mobility” parking spaces close to the building
