Getting Started Initial Steps – Preparation and Checklist
What is your product - food grade or non-food? How will it be packaged - container, bag, box? Is it frozen or dry, etc.? What is the supply chain environment? Regulatory considerations? Label stock - paper, vinyl, lamination? Applicator - automated or hand applied? Quantities – what is most economical to print? Design considerations - number of colours, size, diecut? Proposal/ Quote - allow 2 days

Placement of order - Submit PO# to begin process Min order $250.00 COD on first order Supply artwork to printer Printer’s proof created and supplied to customer - 1 week Printer’s proof reviewed and approved by customer Once approved, tooling and materials ordered - 1 week Production of labels - Allow 2 weeks Shipping of labels to customer

A printing plate is used to transfer ink onto a label Printing plates are made for each colour In pre-press, artwork is prepared for printing plates Printing plates are then ordered Creating printing plates is a one week process
