Any living thing (an organism) in an ecosystem will have contact with all of the living and non living things it is surrounded by Biotic and abiotic factors describe the living and nonliving parts of an ecosystem

Biotic Factors Biotic factors are the living things in an ecosystem
Example: If we have a forest ecosystem the living things would include all the plants and animals such as trees, grass, shrubs, snakes, insects, rodents, etc.

Abiotic Factors Abiotic factors are the nonliving parts of an ecosystem If we use the forest ecosystem again abiotic factors would include rocks, water, air, sunlight, etc.
