2. BASIC INFORMATION 25 children – 10 girls and 15 boys
7/8 Staff (DG/AM/KH/CW/CL/EW/LY)
8 apartments – 3/4 children per unit with one used as a meeting room/storage.
Staying at Butlins Minehead
Travelling – Our own 2 minibuses + van for luggage and equipment – 5 trained drivers
First Aid – 4 fully trained staff
Complete set of Risk assessments carried out by staff

3. FOOD! Half Board Breakfast around 8.30 (Except Skern)
Evening Meal from 5.30 – 6.30
Lunch – packed lunch partly from food carried by us + fresh sandwiches/cakes from a local bakery

4. THE PROGRAMME MONDAY TUESDAY Early start - 7.30 for an 8.00am leave
Travel to Cheddar Gorge. Visit the caves and have lunch – Jacob’s Ladder!
On to Minehead
Book in……SWIM!

5. THE PROGRAMME…… WEDNESDAY Early start – breakfast at 7.45
Travel to Skern Lodge in Westward Ho!
2 activities – ropes and surfing (lunch in between)
Home for a late meal – 7.15
THURSDAY

West Somerset Railway
Beach Walk
Lunch
Free choice – swim etc!
Evening meal

TRAVEL SICKNESS TABLETS – to staff
2 inhalers – one kept by staff
Any medicines – discuss with staff tonight and hand to staff on day of leaving
Any further medicine (happening in between) ring school and inform Mrs Morrison.

11. WHAT NOT TO BRING! No mobile phones
(suggest a stamped addressed envelope ready to write to you with a postcard inside or buy a postcard at Butlins). We will contact school as soon as we arrive in Minehead.

No HUGE hampers of sweets etc!

12. AND WE WILL HAVE……… Lunch provisions for Tues/Wed/Thur/Fri
Plenty of drinks for during the day
Evening drinks (hot and cold) and biscuits

Lots of games and equipment
Plenty space - 2 minibuses – 28 spaces for the children and only 25 going.
The van carries all the luggage and equipment.
