Bathymetric Surveys Full bathymetric coverage from Portland Bill to Second Severn Crossing Unexpected weather meant it took 5 years to complete Multibeam surveys for Lyme Bay (Portland Bill to Torquay) and Mounts Bay Singlebeam surveys for rest of coastline Annual singlebeam surveys of Exe and Teign estuaries Multibeam for Exe estuary 2010 survey

Majority of work done in 2007 and 2008, extension started and completed in 2009.
Hardest part of the coastline was Sennen to St ives, most done in 2010 and finally completed at the beginning of 2011.

Topographic Surveys Full topographic surveys for all original management units Initial baseline survey Annual baseline (BMP) survey if designated 1 or 2 interim surveys per year Partner requests Efficiency savings New surveys for management units around mouth of Taw / Torridge estuary including annual baseline surveys 6 sites changed to include annual baseline surveys

LiDAR Surveys Unexpected weather caused alterations to original survey plan Entire coastline has at least 1 flight Most places have 2 flights Many places have 3 flights Several places have 5 flights

Habitat Mapping Entire coastline coverage
Mapping based on Aerial Photograph Interpretation Photos flown 2006 – 2009 pdf’s on website and shapefiles available to mastermap licence holders
