Classroom News September 26th – 30th Mrs. Dugas Mark your calendar * A peek at the week + Math: order numbers from least to greatest and greatest to least round 2 digit numbers to nearest ten estimate amount using a model of 10 identify if number is even/odd Religion: understand acts of love for others is love for Jesus understand obeying parents and those in charge is obeying God Social Studies: review landforms and bodies of water Reading: story: “Henry and Mudge and the Starry Night” consonant blend reality/fantasy Language: identify commands and exclamations Spelling: consonant blends Phonics identify/read words with l, r, and s blends Wed. Sept. 27th – mass at 8:30 a.m. Fri. Sept. 30th – dismissal 11:00 a.m. No After Care! Fair begins at 7:00 p.m. A Note from Your Teacher: n Our fair preparations are finally coming together. A big thank you to my room moms and helpers! I honestly couldn’t get through this craziness without you guys. Please send your donation or item for our basket ASAP if you have not already done so.. The room moms need time to shop and put everything together. Watch folders next week for important fair info. and meeting times. Thanks and have a great weekend and upcoming week. Test Schedule September 26th – 30th Mrs. Dugas – Upcoming Tests: Wednesday Math quiz on ch. 2, lessons 8-12 (Refer to p in “little math” book. Feel free to have your child work any problems that haven’t been done in class for practice. Thursday Language quiz on commands and exclamations (Look over p in green grammar book) Friday Spelling test Reading test on “Henry and Mudge and the Starry Night” Spelling words: n stop state strap browse nest straight hand skeleton brave ask clip stream mask twin breeze Notes: Study the spelling words extra next week. Some of them are tricky! We are reading a story in our reading book next week, so books should go home daily, and students should read the story each night. Our fair skit is coming along well. We will be dressed in white t-shirts with “Do you love me?” written on the back. Students will wear khaki shorts and school shoes with the t-shirt. Information on final fair details will come home next week so be sure and check folders daily.
