2. Reading: Math Classroom Pictures Spelling/Phonics:
In math, we finished up Unit 1-Partners and Number Patterns Through 10. We have started Unit 2- Addition and Subtraction strategies.
We are working on addition with circle drawings, writing equations and counting on from the greater number.
Reading:
We have finished unit 1 and have begun Unit 2.
We have been working on story structure (characters, setting and plot) and have begun to discuss character traits. When reading with your children at home, ask them to retell you the story in their own words, and identify the characters and setting. Talk about words that can describe the characters by their actions in the story.

The last three weeks we have worked with all the short vowels. As the weeks progress we will work on final consonant sounds as well as consonant blends
