2 Step 1 How to begin... First: remember that there is no magic formula for writing a good personal statement Second: your personal statement must reflect your strengths and suitability to your chosen course

You have to think positively Consider the following attributes: Enthusiasm Commitment Passion Ambitions Reliability Unique

5 Step 4 Linking or matching ...
You need to link your skills and work experience to your chosen course You need to show you fulfil the criteria of your chosen courses

6 Step 5 Hobbies & personal achievements...
These are important as they can help you stand out from the crowd

7 Step 6 Drafting This is an important part of your personal statement and you will need to write several drafts before you are satisfied you have covered the necessary skills to match the course requirements. Your tutor & Ms P will support you in this process Critical reading & reflection is important Grammatical errors and poor structure will be costly
