TRAINING OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY (OHS) PROGRAM
CAPACITY BUILDING FOR TRADE UNION LEADER

2. BACK GROUND
The number of work accidents are still high and Union involvement in Occupational Health and Safety still low. Most of the Safety committee were formed by Management without Union involvement.
So far there are about 120 Core Trainer of OHS who passed the CTT training in Jakarta, Bogor, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Therefore knowledge of union leader about OHS need to be improved continously.

3. OBJECTIVES 1.To make sustainable unity of KSPI affiliate member
2.To update the skill of Trade Union Leaders in Labour Issues
3.To increase the bargaining power of Trade Union in OHS
4.To monitor the Core Trainer activity after their training

4. EXPECTATIONS / INDICATORS
1.Active Representation of KSPI in the region
2.Participation of employees on OHS will increased
3.To have a report of Core Trainer activity in OHS

5. ACTIVITY
a. To perform a seminar on Capacity building to all Federation in 3 (three) regions : Bandung West Java;Jakarta and Jakarta Bogor Depok Tangerang Bekasi (Jabodetabek ) area..
Each training attended by 25 attendant from all affiliation member.
The Seminar will be given by senior CITU officer:
Topic of seminar will be focused on:
How to make the CITU unity sustainable
To up date the skill of union leader against labour issues
Plan of Revision of Union Laws
b. To perform 2(two) TOT POSITIVE Progam Seminar and 2(two) CTT POSITIVE Program in Batam and Makasar ( South Sulawesi).
Each Positive Program Seminar attended by 25 attendant from affiliation member and leaded by 4 Core Trainer coordinators and one organizer from local union.member.
c. To organize the Core Trainer Conference for Monitor and update OHS issues.
