Introduction Educational software tools have a great potential of applicability, particularly at university, where knowledge of various areas by different careers is required (Gabriel & Alberto 2013) (Quezada 2016) and the design of virtual labs (Liu 2015). The researchers (Conceição, 2011), (Martins 2012) uses the software Wolfram Alpha and Mathematica as a complement to the theoretical teaching in subjects of calculus and algebra in core engineering courses.

What is the problem? The 60% of 584 students no passed the mathematics class, this is a problem of prior knowledge from high school. To avoid the high rate of no admitted, we will use the mathematics software in order to enhance learning through reading controls. Students admitted and no admitted in Fall 2015 in the Technical University of Loja-Ecuador

Wolfram Mathematica Software
Wolfram Mathematica software is a business application about computational systems; developed by the company Wolfram Research. As a pioneer in computer sciences, and the computational paradigm, the company has kept a long-term vision to develop science, technology, and tools to make the computer science nowadays and in the future increasingly powerful (Quesada 2015).

Conclusions: It is necessary to mention that the present research work continue in this first stage until the end of the academic semester. On average the students have considered that the academic subject seems interesting in spite of there are abstract and theoretical topics, studying math in the engineering area. Reading comprehension through the use of Mathematica software allows a visual learning of fundamental theoretical mathematical concepts. This practice in the class room allow that students practice skill as such programming, research, interpretation of result set.
