6 Defined as: Includes a preposition, a noun or pronoun called the object of the preposition, and any modifiers of that object.

Adjective Phrases Adverb Phrases A prepositional phrase used as an adjective is called an adjective phrase. EXAMPLE: Rosa chose the one with the blue stripes. Abby became friends with Madison. A prepositional phrase used as an adverb is called an adverb phrase. EXAMPLE: By noon the cavalry reached the fort. We planted seedlings along the driveway.
