8 Why bother? Hi Sorry for the late . I know you asked for feedback on NAME and my experience of First Place Training. I cannot express my appreciation of what you did for NAME last year. Not only did you discover that NAME had dyslexia and dyspraxia, but you helped him to achieve his Functional skills level 2.  NAME is now at Shuttleworth college and is at last doing the course he wanted to do. Thank you again Regards Parent

9 Why bother? Our son was referred to First Place Training during his last year at Name of School as he was struggling to keep up with academic requirements.   He was suffering in silence as he was subsequently diagnosed with dyslexia and was referred to CAMH due to depression and anxiety.  All throughout this period in his life the support and understanding shown to us all as a family by First Place was second to none.  I cannot thank all of the staff enough for their perseverance and patience whilst he was attending.  He has now come out of the centre with ICT, English and Maths qualifications and has now been offered an apprenticeship as a site supervisor, ironically at a school, which he is looking forward to starting in September.  I would not hesitate in recommending First Place Training to any parent or carer.
