MAST Sturdy structure fabricated out of standard steel sections, provides guide ways for movement of the Rotation Head and is rigid enough to withstand heavy impact and drilling loads. The heavy-duty mast is specially designed to take the heavy loads under favorable drilling conditions and is all steel fabricated structure. The mast can be raised or lowered by using the hydraulically operated Mast Raising Cylinder. Rotation head carrier with rotation head slides along the mast, this rotation head moment can be control by the feed system. The Yoke bracket can be move up and down in the mast to adjust the rope tension.

MAST STEEL TYPES There are two types of steel for mast we are using:
1. CHANNEL TYPE MAST. * ISMC 100x75. * Subjected to less load carrying capacity operations. 2. TUBULAR TYPE MAST. * Seamless Steel. * Withstand higher load as compare to Channel Type.

GEAR BOXES There are two types of gear boxes we are using-
1. Power Take-Off (PTO)- A). Taking out the power from deck/truck engine & transmit it to the control panel through pumps and hoses. 2.Rotary Head Gear Box (RHGB)- A). It is used to give the rotary motion to the drill .

PUMPS A). WATER INJECTION PUMP-
1. The rate of flow given by WIP is less. 2. It is being used upto certain small depths, as the pressure given by this is not so enough. 3. Due to this we are using Mud Pump , so that we can achieve more rated flow of water . B). MUD PUMP- 1. American Mud Pump (A1122) driven by motor and attains the high flow rate of water. 2. It takes the water from the water tank and due to the rotary & reciprocating part functions it sucks and pushes the mud water to the mud swivel on RHGB through the hoses and then to the drill bit through the drill rod.

COMPRESSOR It compresses the air into high pressure and helps the hammer to provide the sufficient pressure for hammering. There are several compressors which we are using depending upon the flow rate and the pressure- A). Regular used compressor (ELGI & ATLAS COPCO make)- cfm – 150psi cfm – 275psi cfm – 170psi cfm – 200psi cfm – 200psi cfm – 300psi cfm – 330psi

AIR LINE LUBRICATOR 1. The air line lubricator lubricates the compressed dry air , so that there will be less friction occurring while drilling in b/w various parts of drilling equipment. 2. This lubrication of compressed air helps the drilling equipment to work smoothly.

CYLINDERS There are several type of cylinders which we are using ,these are x 610mm 1. Feed cylinder It helps in the movement of RHGB on the mast. 2. Damping cylinder It helps to drill at certain angle upto 45 degree. 3. Mast raising cylinder – It lifts the mast from 0 to 90 degree. 4. Break out wrench This is controlled by a lever at the control panel to break the drill string at a faster pace while retrieving after completion of bore hole. 5. Stabilizers It helps in levelling the equipment from uneven surface.
