1. Merits for the Project Sponsors are; (1) Additional Cash Flow: Improvement of Project Viability ・with additional Cash Inflow by selling CERs in US$ ・Cash Inflow depends on Type of Project Securing of Stable Profitability by obtaining commitment for purchase of CERs (2) Contribution to Sustainable Development: Good opportunity to increase Corporate Image (C) Copyright 2005 Japan Carbon Finance, Ltd. 2. However there are some difficulties as well.

(1) Government to take a lead to promote CDM To hold Workshops, Seminars, Advertisement on papers To be a good advisor to project sponsors (one-stop shop function) To provide transparent and quick host country’s approval process (2) To provide Economic Incentive to Project Sponsors Favorable tariffs for electricity from renewable energy projects (3) To establish Financial Support Mechanism.
