Vision Correction by Surgery
Radial Keratotomy: - microscopic surgery that makes eight tiny incisions into the cornea of the eye which cause a flattening of the cornea - used to correct myopia (nearsightedness) or astigmatism - Outpatient procedure done under local anesthesia - actual procedure takes about 10 – 15 minutes - Each eye is done at separate times
