“Do Not Fear Those That Kill The Body”
Matt. 10:28 “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

The shooting at the Burnette chapel church
The Events of the past couple of weeks have made us all somewhat anxious. The shooting at the Burnette chapel church The massacre that occurred in Las Vegas. Roselvelt said we have nothing to fear but feat itself…..
3
We all have some common fears.
Fear of the Dark Fear of Rejection Fear of Failure Fear of Heights Fear of Water Fear of Roller Coasters updownaphobia Faith is believing what we cannot see come to pass….fear is the same thing basically

What Does God’s Word say about Fear?
Isaiah 43:13 “I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not Fear; I will help you.” This does not mean our lives will be trouble free. But fear need not dominate our lives and keep us from victorious living….God has given us promises, he is trustworthy and a protector and lets remember this world is not our home…eternal life…
5
Psalms 27:1 “ The Lord is my light and my salvation, so why should I be afraid?
Isaiah 41:10 “Do not be afraid for I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.” John 14:27 “Peace I leave you, my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled or afraid.” God is trust worthy God is a protector He promises eternal life
6
There are two kinds of fear -
Good or Bad Natural fears….such as fear of falling or fear of loud noises. Learned fears…..don’t pet a rattle snake, don’t get in a cage of hungry lions.
7
Bad Fear……Satan wants to beat us down so we are not what God intended
Bad Fear……Satan wants to beat us down so we are not what God intended. It paralyzes us and keeps us from being what we should do or be. (Such as obeying the Gospel)

Good fear…God wants us courageous with Godly Fear
Good fear…God wants us courageous with Godly Fear. We can’t do it ourselves but He is there to help. He gives us the power of salvation, power to be a witness, the power to be a strong Christian, and the power to endure life’s setbacks. Don’t mix faith and fear….

II Timothy 1:7 “God did not give us the spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self control.” Phil. 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.” Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
10
God never said we would not have to face giants in our lives.
Goliaths come in many forms and from without and within, among those is certainly FEAR.
11
David vs. Goliath
12
What the rest of the Israelite saw.
Goliath David
13
What David saw God! Goliath
14
How Big is Our God? Don’t tell God how big your giants are.
Tell your giants how big your God is.
15
Satan working through evil people like the recent shooters wants to take away you joy, freedoms, and happiness. By instilling fear that want us to tremble every day.
16
God wants to give you a full happy and joyous life
God wants to give you a full happy and joyous life. So he has promised us that even in the most dire circumstances he is with us. I John 4:18 “There is no fear in love, perfect love cast out fear” Psalms 23 “yea though I walk through the valley, the shadow of death I will fear no evil…..” Psalms 46: “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear,
17
“To get what you have never had, you must do what you have never done
You cannot run from your giants. You must face them and destroy them. This is where your faith and trust in God comes into play!
18
Until David arrived the Israelite army was acting on their doubts and not their faith. David put his doubts behind him and acted on his Faith.

Romans 8:31-39 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
20
36 As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

As long as we live in this world there will be dangers
As long as we live in this world there will be dangers. This world was never meant to be our permeant dwelling place. Jesus told us to live in the world but not of the World. God has provided the means of escape from this world and its perils. “Blessed in the sight of the Lord are the death of his saints.” It is up to us to accept that way, and prepare for our departure from this earth when the time comes. Look beyond the storm to see Jesus…the beginning anxiety is the end of faith..the beginning of faith is the end of anxiety. Every tomorrow has two handles…we can take the handle of anxiety and fear or the handle of faith…
