Technology Enabling the Path to Modern Retailing
2
What is Pulse? With the exponential pace of change in both technology and food retail, many opportunities arise. From the advent of mobile shopping to the rise of online food culture, our industry is undergoing a fundamental transformation. The pressure is on for retailers to minimize operating costs, secure customer loyalties and offer unique shopping experiences—all by utilizing new technology. Pulse is an event that focuses on the vital idea exchange, trends and innovations that are enhancing the shopping experience.
3
Mission Help improve the profitability of omnichannel retailing and their suppliers by providing actionable information and insights on leveraging physical and digital assets to serve consumers.
4
Your Pulse Hosts For decades Food Marketing Institute (FMI) and Progressive Grocer (PG) have been industry leaders – identifying trends and providing strategies to better navigate the evolving retail landscape. PG and FMI together partner on Retail Leader and other projects to better serve the needs of their constituents, and PULSE is the latest endeavor designed to deliver insights and connections that benefit the entire marketplace.
