ITD achieved these results just three seasons after implementing its Winter Performance Measurement system:
Cut winter maintenance spending by 29 percent — from $30 million in 2011/2012 to $21.4 million in 2013/2014
From 2011/2012 to 2013/2014, also reduced the three-year average of accidents on icy and snowy roads by 27 percent
Surpassed interim mobility index of 55 percent by four percent in 2013/2014 and 18 percent in 2014/2015
