Indicator A.1.6. Staff and governors work well together.
Priority 1. Objective: Staff and Governors feel that collaboration has improved over the last year.
Development plan and implementation
Each class has a governor assigned to them. The class will formally invite their governor to visit their class regularly including during the ‘parent afternoon’ and to join in with a lesson.
A photograph of the governor will be placed in each classroom.
Governors will continue to be invited to all school events.

3. The classes have formally invited their governor to visit their classes before Christmas. Governors have also been invited to pop in and say hello to the class after their meetings at school
Each class has a photograph of their governor displayed in the classroom to include the governor as a valued part of their class.

5. Next steps…
Governors will be invited to join their class during the two topic days, focusing on art, in the spring term.
Ensure that all classes have had a visit from their Governor by Easter.

6. Dimension C. Evolving inclusive practices Mobilising resources.
Indicator C Staff expertise is fully utilised.
Priority 2. Objective: Staff expertise is shared and well used.
Development plan and implementation
Collaborate and share information of staff skills.
In the ‘class meeting’ class teacher to identify areas of interest and strength/skills of each staff member.
Compile a list of the various skills to be shared with all.
Special interests and skills to be shared and used within school with both staff and pupils.

7. At the whole school staff meeting teachers and classroom assistants discussed in their class groups their skills and interests which were then put into a list and distributed to each class.

8. Since the list was compiled several members of staff have become more confident to use their skills within their classes.

9. Next steps…
Update the skills list during a class meeting in the spring term to include new members of staff who have joined the school and add any new skills acquired by staff since the last list was compiled.
Staff who have become more confident using their skills in their own classes to share with another class across the school.
More staff to be encouraged and given opportunities to use their skills in school.
