Elementary RC prints in Standards Based Format (Print from PB) 2 pages front/back Special Paper (approximately $0.44/student) Thinking about creating a LOGO to make it more official looking when parents print it out MS RC prints as a summary and looks different than standards based information (Print from DASL) Plain Paper with watermark ‘B’ GPA/Cumulative GPA Honors Fees HS prints as a summary (Print from DASL) At first we needed an extra site so students and teachers could get GPA, Rank, and Fees info … now with PA Report Card this site is no longer needed! Rank Include screenshot of each

Paperless Announcement – PA Importance
When paper report cards are sent home we make an announcement telling parents this will be the last time we will run paper report cards and send them home with students. Directions to obtain future report cards are sent home, posted on the website at each building and posted on the district web page. EXAMPLE: Beginning with the second quarter, report cards will no longer be sent home with students. The report cards will be available online through ProgressBook ParentAccess. From the ParentAccess Portal: Under student information (on left side) click on the Report Card link In the top right corner, you will see 2 links Click on View Paper Report Card to see the current quarter's official report card Click on View Paper History to view previous quarter's report card If you do not have a ParentAccess account you will need to contact the building secretary where your child attends school to obtain a registration key and set-up directions. Secretaries ran a report to find who had not logged on to date and what parents needed keys. Secretaries followed up with parents and encouraged them to create their PA account. Teachers use the report in PB and encourage all parents to log on regularly. Provide Stations and Labs at Open House and P/T Conferences so parents can log on and get help with PB Parent Access.

Paperless Training Use the last paper report card to train personnel
Less pressure Plenty of time to meet with each building before the next quarter Naming convention MS = Load Settings (done at CO) HS = Creates their own Load Settings ES = Run out of PB and named in the following manner: BldgCode_Year_Grade_Quarter Re-run report cards Guidelines Do NOT re-run instead parents can see updated info in PA New grade will be displayed the following quarter’s report card IF necessary to re-run be sure to name the exact same so that there are not 2 versions of the same report card for every student! From CO we can see and watch the process and make sure all report cards are finalized and available during the report card window. Provide example of our window dates that are sent home.

HS went paperless 4 years ago. MS went paperless 2 years ago Elementary went paperless this year Importance of Parent Access Savings Summer Access Culture When we went paperless: For additional HS info we built a site that provided rank, GPA and fee information No longer need additional site because of RC Vault in PA Importance of Parent Access Savings Paul Chaffee already discussed savings by going paperless Culture Because this is our culture I wanted to gather data to give you perspective This year we went paperless in the elementary and I asked the elementry secretaries how many paper copies were requested …
