5 Three Ways to Use to Spend Less & Find Quality Care
#1 Know the Cost Price estimates for more than 50 procedures, based on costs charged to real patients. #3 Compare the Quality Primary care performance rating Hospital birthing care rating Hospital Safety Score Find a Doctor is more than just a listing of providers. #2 Look for the Symbols These symbols will help guide you through the search results. We’ll see an example of this in a minute. #3 Check the Quality The primary care performance rating: How many stars – one to five – are earned by a clinic that offers internal medicine, pediatrics or family medicine. Ratings are based on if this location makes good use of your health care dollars and provides recommended care for your health issues at the right time. Hospital birthing care rating: How many stars – one to five – are earned by a hospital that has birthing care, based on deliveries by cesarean section and obstetrical trauma. The Hospital Safety Score is based on how often people staying overnight in the hospital were harmed by injuries, infections or medical errors that occurred during their stay. 6 Log In for Full Access Only employees enrolled in a health plan that uses The Alliance network can log in to view cost estimates. Focus the search results to only information that applies to you. View information unique to your employer. Log in to compare hospital and clinic cost estimates for more than 50 procedures. The first thing you want to do is log in. Whether you are: Looking for a new primary care doctor close to home. Researching the quality of local clinics and hospitals. Or comparing the cost of a needed procedure at different providers … Find a Doctor will tailor your search results and will to find the best care options for you.

7 Sign Up for an Account Create your account in less than a minute.
Use your address and selected password to log in the next time you come to the site. Creating a log in is quick and easy. There’s only a short form to fill out online. 11 How to Start a Search Enter a zip code or city near where you want care. Employer name is auto-filled when you log in. When you log into your account, the employer field will fill in automatically. If you are looking for a provider closer to where you live, enter your home zip code or city.

What is Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Score? The Leapfrog Group (a national nonprofit watchdog of quality and safety of care in U.S. hospitals) gives hospitals a letter grade of A through F based on how often people staying overnight in the hospital were harmed by injuries, infections or medical errors that occurred during their stay. Facilities near the same area can have different costs.

14 Calculate and Compare Use the out-of-pocket cost calculator and comparison tool for up to three different provider and procedure options. On your search results, click the link to our out of pocket cost calculator and compare the cost and quality of up to three different facilities.
