The primary care performance rating: How many stars – one to five – are earned by a clinic that offers internal medicine, pediatrics or family medicine. Ratings are based on if this location makes good use of your health care dollars and provides recommended care for your health issues at the right time.
Hospital birthing care rating: How many stars – one to five – are earned by a hospital that has birthing care, based on deliveries by cesarean section and obstetrical trauma.
The Hospital Safety Score is based on how often people staying overnight in the hospital were harmed by injuries, infections or medical errors that occurred during their stay. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Scores give hospitals A to F grades for patient safety.

What is Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Score? The Leapfrog Group (a national nonprofit watchdog of quality and safety of care in U.S. hospitals) gives hospitals a letter grade of A through F based on how often people staying overnight in the hospital were harmed by injuries, infections or medical errors that occurred during their stay.
Facilities near the same area can have different costs.
