INTERNATIONAL TEACHER EXCHANGE WEEKS IN HIGHER EDUCATION PEDAGOGY Educational Needs & Possibilities Defining and requesting suitable teaching topics and methods by host HEI on various levels and between different professionals Inviting guest teachers based on requested topics, allowing flexibility Arranging events for promoting guest teachers’ HEIs and international student/staff mobility and cooperation Creating opportunities for networking in RDI and other areas Exchanging concepts and experience between guest and host teachers Learning from each other in a creative and purposeful process Teaching Content & Method: Defining and refining topic, level, target group, background knowledge and skills of students Agreeing on suitable methods: lecture, keynote, workshop, exercise, poster etc. Fixing duration and schedule of teaching = min 8 hrs for Erasmus+, perhaps by means of cross-departmental scheduling Publishing teaching programme and timetable on ITEW website Involving and preparing students in advance of teaching Arranging introduction of guest teacher at the beginning of teaching Implementing evaluation and/or Q&A at the end of teaching Notes: _____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________

INTERNATIONAL TEACHER EXCHANGE WEEKS IN HIGHER EDUCATION PRINCIPLES Participation & Administration Encouraging participation at host HEI and with guests from partner HEIs Promoting ITEW as a learning opportunity on various levels Facilitating participarory planning and implementation of ITEW Devising transparent administrative process for all participants Assisting and guiding people in their work process to meet joint purpose Facilitating online application, electronic admission and documentation Arranging departmental programme at the beginning of ITEW Devising transparent administrative process for all ITEW participants    Cooperation & Communication Working together with different professionals for a common purpose Distributing work tasks and labour forces efficiently at host HEIs Consulting partner HEIs for suitable timing and benchmarking of ITEWs Matching guest and host teachers on departmental level in admission process and following up with suitability and cooperation performance Initiating swift cooperation between guest and host teachers immediately after admission and invitation message and documents Utilising formal and informal ways of communication throughout process Structuring flow of communication and offering suitable ICT tools Keeping information up-to-date and accessible for all participants Notes: _____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________

6 INTERNATIONAL TEACHER EXCHANGE WEEKS IN HIGHER EDUCATION PROVISIONS Providing sufficient time, e.g. 8 hrs teaching, also other activities Arranging sufficient finances and budget, e.g. Erasmus+ Offering and maintaining suitable technical equipment Facilitating catering and accommodation during ITEW Ensuring technical provisions, e.g. printing, internet etc. Devising and maintaining external and internal ITEW websites Preparing and distributing material, e.g. host and guest teacher guides, colour-coded name tags, maps etc. Using suitable ICT tools, e.g. teaching input/output forms, cloud services or repositiories such as Google Drive or OneDrive etc. Providing additional social activities, e.g joint and departmental or stakeholder events, dinner, trips, company visits etc. Notes: _____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________
