1 Travel Modelling Group Technical Advisory Committee
July 8, 2013

2 Today’s Agenda GTA Model V2 Migration Update Software improvements
Demonstration Early feedback Software improvements Improved updating procedure for XTMF Progress reporting in Modeller Tools Emme Resources New Tools New Worksheets CCGEN feedback Discussion of Model Output

3 GTA Model V2 Migration Emme databank upgraded to Emme 4 & NCS11.
XTMF ↔ Emme integration completed & tested. Model framework completed & running. Generation stage validated. Currently validating distribution. [Demonstration]

4 Software Improvements
XTMF: New XTMF Update procedure which works with highly-restrictive firewalls. New look-and-feel for parameter editing. Module documentation accepts simple HTML. TMG Toolbox: Progress-reporting to the Modeller window implemented for some tools (e.g. CCGEN). This also works for reporting progress to XTMF.

5 Emme Resources: New Worksheets
As part of on-going work on travel data visualization, several new Emme worksheets have been developed: VDF worksheet Transit Line worksheet V/C ratio worksheet Desire lines matrix worksheet Zone polygon choropleth worksheet Various histograms (link, nodes, matrix) [Demonstration]

6 Emme Resources New non-legacy transit assignment Tools:
Basic Transit Assignment Station-to-station Transit Assignment Feedback / Suggestions? CCGEN? Other new tools?

7 Discussion of Model Output
Looking to discuss future model features. What data is important for model calibration? What data gives you confidence in a model’s accuracy? e.g. PoR-PoW links, demand matrix control totals, mode splits, link volumes at count stations, boardings on transit links, etc… What data is desired as output from the model? What data is the primary output data you are interested in? e.g. VKT, link V/C ratios, transit segment V/C ratios, travel times, transit line profiles, link volumes, emissions, etc…
