4 The Purpose of the Lordian Table (vs 23-25)
To remember Christ’s Body (a spiritual body, the Church) and it’s purpose (vs 24) The bread defined: One loaf, all true believers I Cor 10:16-17 The purpose of this Body To benefit the other members Vs 24 “…this body which is (broken) FOR you..” cf I Cor 12:25-26 To glorify the Head (Christ)

5 The Purpose of the Lordian Table (vs 23-25)
To remember the Life of this Body (vs 25) The New Covenant (the one for the Church!) Bought by the blood of Christ Mk 14:23-24 His blood enacted this New Covenant for the Church Lk 22:17,22 Paul tells us the cup NOW pictures only what the blood of Christ has bought I Cor 11: “This cup is the New Covenant by (means of) my blood”

6 The Purpose of the Lordian Table (vs 23-25)
To strongly announce the Lord’s death (vs 26) “The Lord’s death” names a part for the whole (death and resurrection) Cf I Cor 15:3-4, 17 Frequency of this announcement: Regularly, till Christ comes

7 The Believer’s Liability of Disunity While Participating in the Lordian Table in an Unworthy Manner (vs 27) Liable concerning the Body Sinning against fellow-believers Liable concerning the Lord’s blood The purchase-price of the New Covenant cf Heb 10:29; 13:20

8 Conclusion The remedy for the responsibility of disunity in the Body:
Confession of sin I Jn 1:9 Resume loving one another Jn 13:34-35 Phil 2:1-4
