Exclusive Coach Rachel Abel Exclusive means the coaches will only be coaching at competitions for MCHS only. Two coaches will assist riders with two different approaches to competing. Opens availability to lesson with more choices for lesson times. Introduce Coaches and let them will tell a little about themselves.

Barns to Ride Rivendell Farms 3801 Poplar Springs Road Gainesville, Ga 30507 Trinity Farms – Beginner Riders or good practice rides, great trail rides, miles from MCHS, about an 18 minute drive. Flying D Stable – Established Riders, 45 minute drive, up by Jacksonville.

Leasing Horses at all Shows You do not have to own a horse to compete! Read off slide.

6 Mill Creek High School Equestrian Team
Team Expectations For Competing Riders – members of the team -Mandatory 2.5 GPA -Minimum of 4 lessons per month – encourage more -Compete in 5 regular season shows – that is the max -10 hours of community service – minimum -$100 sponsorship or donation to team -Participate in barn workday For Apprentice Riders/Managers – -Minimum of 2 lessons per month and/or assist riders at the scheduled lesson time 4x per month -Attend all MCHS shows

Show and Spirit Wear Attire Competitive Riders – pants, show jacket, white show shirt, helmets, tall boots, gloves, and crop Everyone - Wear MCHS sprit wear to shows such as heavy weight jackets, team shirts, sweatshirts, letter jackets, etc. Examples on display. Read slide.

Lesson Payments Lesson Payments Due by 1st of Month Late after end of business on 5th Late payment will result in rider being removed from lesson calendar until payment is made How to pay: Deliver check direct to Coach Rachel Abel Read slide

REPRESENT Mill Creek High School Team Member Expectations Give complete cooperation and respect to the coaches, officers and teammates Accept instruction and constructive criticism with a positive attitude and willingness to improve RESPECT THE TRAINER AND THEIR ABILITY TO INSTRUCT Members should always demonstrate respect for self, teammates, horses, coaches and facility. LESSON EXPECTATIONS Lesson Expectations Arrive minutes prior to lesson Wear appropriate riding gear – riding pants, show boots and gloves – rider will not lesson if appropriate gear is not present 4 lessons per month – STRONGLY ENCOURAGE MORE Schedule lessons through Coaches Weather related cancellations 3 no-shows or unexcused absences results in removal from the team Read Slide

Lessons and Practice Rides Group lessons will be no more than 4 at a time. Monthly Group Lessons ($50 per lesson) must be paid by 1st of Month for that month’s lessons. 4 lessons per month required for competitor riders. Lessons will be 1 hour. Private lessons are available and can be scheduled & paid directly to trainers at time of lesson. All makeup lessons must be made up by the end of the month Read slide

Show Fees $60 IEA Individual Membership – one time fee paid at the beginning of the season online Show fee ($80 per show), coaches fee ($65 per show), and horse lease fee (price to be determined) **Other fees will be determined at the beginning of the season Each girl will participate in 5 shows. Show schedule will be determined in the fall To Compete and Lease horses.
