6 Winston Churchill Winston Churchill was born in 1874 on the 30th November. He grew up to be one of the most well known prime ministers in English history.

8 Winston's Early life Early life
Winston Churchill was born in Blenheim Palace and was quite soon nicknamed Winnie. He was very rude to teachers and he once destroyed a teachers straw hat. Three years into his life he moved to Ireland. 19 years into his life he was recruited to the Army. Milena will now talk about Winston Churchill’s life in the war followed by an interview by Milena with Michael, playing the role of Churchill.

10 FACTS Noor was born in Russia in 1914
She lived in England and then moved to France with her family She fled from France because of the Nazi and back to England In England she became a wireless operator. Since Noor stood out as a accomplished wireless operator and spoke English and French she was invited to join the SOE( Special Operations Executive). She was told that SOE would be dangerous and would be violent. Not every one thought she would have the temperament of a secret agent.

13 WORLD WAR II WHITE CLIFFS OF DOVER

14 VERA LYNN Vera Lynn was born in East Ham in London on the 20th March 1917. She is now 98 years old and was married to Harry Lewis, but sadly he died in 1999. All her songs reminded the soldiers of their loved ones.

15 The White Cliffs Of Dover
Vera Lynn sang a song called the white Cliffs Of Dover during World War Two. Some people said that the war was very depressing, but the song was to spur the soldiers on, and to lift everyone's spirits. The soldiers loved it! The song was meant to tell every one that the war would be over soon.
