Actually go to your school and walk around. Learn the different sections of your school (bathroom, library, cafeteria, gym, main office, counselor office) Participate in open house: Take your parents with you -parents will be familiar with layout when they visit Learn your bell/class schedule!!!!

12 Choosing the right Time…when is that?
Don’t try to start a conversation at an obviously bad time, like in the middle of a quiz or while the person is distracted by other things that seem to be commanding their attention. Realize that some people don’t like talking in certain situations. Some people don’t enjoy talking while riding the bus or wiping the cafeteria tables. If they don’t seem to warm up to your attempts to engage them in conversation, let it go
