FACTS Evidence = Data, contracts, financial reports, campus building plans, audit reports, debt service capacity, surveys, etc. Accreditation “audit” Clearly outline Strategic Plan linkages to budget and buildings (“close the loop”); provide examples of assessment within 7 & 8

Provide data within the report Provide information on how institution’s community receives updates Enrollment / Financial trend analysis and usage Describe processes for budget, facilities, safety and security, etc.

Review Standards and previous reports to identify needed resources Do a compliance audit at the outset Start writing! Ask the hard questions along the way

Dry material is a part of it – self-study can be exciting Tie 7 & 8 to all other standards – it has linkages throughout the institution Anticipate the issues – no surprises

Tables tell a story – use them
Instruction is the focus – link to it throughout Standards 7 & 8 …NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER GIVE UP! Open loops should be closed or closing
