October 26, 2015 ~~ SPECIAL NEWS AND NOTES ~~ Special News & Notes STUDENT LED CONFERENCES – Student –Led Conferences are being held Tues., Oct. 27, and Wed., Oct. 28. If you haven’t chosen a conference time for you and your child yet, please contact me as soon as possible via the Student-Led Conference form, your child’s Agenda, or by . Additional dates can be added to accommodate your schedule. 100% participation is our goal! MULTIPLICATION MADNESS – On Friday your child brought home information about Multiplication Madness. This is an initiative to motivate our 3rd graders to memorize their multiplication facts up to 12’s. They will be taking “tests” each Friday in an effort to master each level of multiplication facts, 2’s, 3’s, 4’s, etc. In January we will have grade level Trail Mix Scavenger Hunt where students will earn “ingredients’ based on the multiplication level they have mastered. Any help you can give your child at home will benefit them greatly! RED RIBBON WEEK – This week we are stressing the importance of saying no to drugs. On Tuesday, students are asked to wear read. On Wednesday, they can wear wacky socks to Sock it to Drugs. On Thursday, they can wear a team shirt to Team Up Against Drugs.
