Meals & Cooking Patrol Style cooking
Needs of each troop: patrol box, stove, mess kits, Dutch ovens Optional: canopy to cook under, spices Each meal ingredients will be provided in troop bins.* *These bins will always have PB&J ingredients in there for additional food if needed. Wednesday Chili and Cobbler Cook-off! Same general ingredients will be provided for all troops If you have a special ingredient you want please don’t hesitate to bring it! Or you have requests please contact us and we will see what we can do. Please contact us if there are any Dietary Restrictions.

Check-in Week 1 Monday 8-11am OR Week 2, Sunday, 1:00-4:00PM
Your Troop will be met in the parking lot by the Staff. We will then schedule a time for your unit to go to the Medical Rechecks and Swim Tests. Your Troop host will then guide the Troop to its campsite to unload gear and change into swim trunks. Leader goes to camp office to check-in and finish paperwork. Medical Rechecks will take place at the Roadhouse (main building) Waterfront for swim tests. Return to the campsite for setting up and preparing for the evening meal.

Check-out 6:50AM – Flags 7:00AM - Breakfast
8:30AM - Site cleanup and departure inspection. The Troop host will be available for inspections for your site. Leaders check out at the (Roadhouse); medical forms and medications will be returned at this time. Prior to departure each Troop will be required to return all borrowed equipment to the commissioner. Documentation of any achievement earned during the week is available for pickup at the Roadhouse. Area directors will be at the Roadhouse to answer any questions about merit badges. This is the time to go through your merit badges and make sure that you have them all and they are correct. 10AM - Depart from camp

Families & Visitors Family night is Wednesday Night. Invite families to spend the evening with their son at camp and hear about the highlights of his week All numbers of expected visitors need to be given to the camp director two days prior in order to have extra food available. They can pay for their meal at the trading post. The price of the meals are $10 for adults, $6 for youth, and children under 3 eat free. Invite staff to your campsite for campfire and fellowship! There is no mail available at DHASB
