2. Thailand AIDC Implementation Plan
AIDC implementation follows Thailand’s TMCS implementation.
Thailand’s AIDC coordination with neighboring countries will start on 2015 onward
Thailand’s neighboring countries are:
Myanmar
Cambodia
Lao PDR
Malaysia
TMCS’s AIDC interface will be tested in 2016.

5. Possible Obstacles in AIDC Implementation
Some scenarios need special AIDC procedure.
Thailand – Myanmar connection
Westbound traffics from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) mostly goes to Myanmar
Since the close proximity of Myanmar boarder, almost all aircraft are on climb to designated flight level when crossing boundary.
Thailand – Lao connection
Vientiane Airport (VTE) is very close to Thailand’s boarder.
Traffics to VTE are almost always descending at the boundary.
Traffics from VTE to Thailand are transferred between Vientiane tower to Udon Thani Approach Center.
