2. Emergency response action
The Albanian Government declared immediately the area in and around the explosion site “DISASTER ZONE”
An INTER MINISTERIAL COMMITTEE was
set up to manage the overall emergency situation, chaired by the former Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Oketa, assisted by 8 Ministers of the Cabinet

Armed Forces (specialized teams, S&R, EOD teams etc)
Ambulance service & medical personnel mobilized in the hospitals of Tirana and Durres
State Police forces
Fire, rescue and emergency teams
Local government authorities

678 evacuees in state-owned residencies

destroyed and damaged.
