5 The Turing Machine (1937) is a thought experiment that simulates computation.

There is a tiny bit of radioactive substance and within the hour one of the atoms may decay, but also, with equal probability, none may decay. If there is decay, the cat is killed. Microsoft has a research station (Station Q) dedicated to quantum computing. Companies such as D-Wave are currently researching and developing quantum computation for commercial use. (not anytime soon) When can I buy one?
