6. Physical Education
*There will be a continuation of Fundamental Motor Skills of bouncing,throwing, catching, striking and kicking. They will also be introduced to different ways we can become ‘efficient runners’
*We will also focus on getting to know the importance of living a fit and healthy lifestyle.

7. Performing Arts
This Semester we will be focusing on Dance and Movement to a variety of genres of music and sounds. We will also work in groups to create a dance routine to perform to the group.
We will be also be exploring Drama this Semester: involving ‘improvising in role, scripting and performing, and responding to performances.

KidsMatter initiative is a whole-school approach to improving children’s mental health and wellbeing. Schools involved in the initiative, such as CNPS, plan to build a community that values and promotes respectful relationships and a sense of belonging and inclusion. KidsMatter promotes:
social and emotional learning (including evidence-based social and emotional learning programs, such as our currently used Bounce Back program)
collaborative working relationships with parents, carers and families
support for students who may be experiencing mental health difficulties
