2 WAYS TO IMPROVE HOME LIFE
“There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless” (Luke 1:5-6).

3 WAYS TO IMPROVE HOME LIFE
Follow the Law of Kindness

4 “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up” (1 Corinthians 13:4).

5 Follow The Law Of Kindness
1) Guard our words. “A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger” (Proverbs 15:1). “Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones” (Proverbs 16:24). “She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness” (Proverbs 31:26).

6 Follow The Law Of Kindness
2) Be kind and forgiving. “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32). “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do” (Colossians 3:12-13).

7 Follow The Law Of Kindness
3) Practice the golden rule. “Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 7:12).

8 Follow The Law Of Kindness
4) Settle differences quickly. “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:26-27).

9 WAYS TO IMPROVE HOME LIFE
Follow the Law of Kindness Be Unselfish

10 “Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being” (1 Corinthians 10:24).

11 Be Unselfish 1) Selfishness is a trait of the wicked.
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy... having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away” (2 Timothy 3:1-2,5).

12 Be Unselfish 2) A characteristic of our Lord.
“Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:3-5).

13 Be Unselfish 3) True love is unselfish.
“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil” (1 Corinthians 13:4-5).

14 WAYS TO IMPROVE HOME LIFE
Follow the Law of Kindness Be Unselfish Spend Time Together

15 “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

16 Spend Time Together 1) We must redeem the time.
“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16). Redeeming - “the meaning seems to be to make a wise and sacred use of every opportunity for doing good, so that zeal and well-doing are as it were the purchase-money by which we make the time our own” (Thayer).

17 Spend Time Together 2) Husband/wife obligations takes time to fulfill.
“Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband” (Ephesians 5:33).

18 Spend Time Together 3) Parent/child duties takes time to fulfill.
“And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4). “That they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children” (Titus 2:4).

20 “Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law” (Romans 13:8).

21 Keep Your Spending Under Control
1) Must provide for our families. “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever” (1 Timothy 5:8). “Therefore I desire that the younger widows marry, bear children, manage the house, give no opportunity to the adversary to speak reproachfully” (1 Timothy 5:14). Manage - “the meaning being that of the management and direction of household affairs” (Vine).

22 Keep Your Spending Under Control
2) We are to be good stewards. “Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?” (Luke 16:11). “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” (1 Peter 4:10). “Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need” (Ephesians 4:28).

23 Keep Your Spending Under Control
3) An example. “She extends her hand to the poor, Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy” (Proverbs 31:20). “The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain” (Proverbs 31:11). “The wife manages domestic concerns so well that her husband finds his honest increase, and sees his confidence profitably rewarded” (Pulpit Commentary).

25 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).

26 Make God Its Center 1) Should sing and pray together.
“Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:19). “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

27 Make God Its Center 2) Should study together.
“And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:15). “When I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also” (2 Timothy 1:5).

28 Make God Its Center 3) An example.
“A devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always” (Acts 10:2). “And the following day they entered Caesarea. Now Cornelius was waiting for them, and had called together his relatives and close friends” (Acts 10:24). “So I sent to you immediately, and you have done well to come. Now therefore, we are all present before God, to hear all the things commanded you by God” (Acts 10:33).

29 Make God Its Center 4) It’s a matter of choice.
“And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15).
