Advocate is just a fancy term for a lawyer, someone who pleads your case before the bar or justice. John writes, “If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” (I John 2:1). Jesus goes before God on our behalf and says, “Father, I know they are sinners, but they have repented and My blood has cleansed them. They belong to Me.” LISTEN, LISTEN, LOVE, LOVE

11 If you advocate for something, you are advocating against another. i.e.; If you advocate for life, then the opposing force is death. Advocate comes from the Latin word advocatus, someone who has been called in to help. Originally used in the sense of legal adviser or friendly witness, the word became a term in roman law designating the professional who defends one’s interests in a court case. They belong to Me.” If you advocate for a resident, then you are advocating against the forces that put them there. LISTEN, LISTEN, LOVE, LOVE
