Physiology - hormones During pregnancy: ↑ progesterone/oestrogen → growth After pregnancy: ↓ progesterone/oestrogen, ↑ prolactin (anterior pituitary) → milk production ↑ oxytocin (hypothalamus [released from posterior pituitary]) → milk ejection
